You can control the thermostat but also add functions using other 3rd party apps with variables so that if it is 78 in your house and outside it is 70, you can, say, trigger a window fan to intake air instead of turning on the AC. Good stuff. read more

Found the detailed instructions for installation and now its working fine from laptop, phone and thermostat.
